Have A Fun Day Out At The Seal Sanctuary It was in 1974 that the first seal arrived at the Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary and Nature Centre and since then hundreds have been rescued and returned to the wild. The wildlife hospital built in 1989 not only made it possible to look after more seals but also gave visitors a better insight into the rearing of seal pups. The opening of the Seal Sanctuary pools in 2000 provided a stimulating environment for the few seals which could not be released back into the wild

Station Sports Centre offers a wide range of activities for everyone.

Activities

Cheeky Monkeys, Empire Amusements offers a wide range of arcade machines and also introduces a new child's soft play area for 2003. Ideally located in the centre of the popular seaside resort of Mablethorpe.

New for 2008 is the refitted modern Sharky's Family Bar and Family Entertainment Centre. Offering coffee shop, sea view conservatory and patio area, indoor go kart track, large inflatable slide and indoor amusements. This is a place where all families can have fun!

The annual Bathing Beauties Festival, launched in 2007, is the UK’s first beach hut festival and sees innovative designers re-imagine the often unloved wooden beach hut for the 21st century. Their creations included futuristic, multi-coloured, curvaceous shapes – and one eco-friendly hut that looked like a gin and tonic with two straws and a swizzle stick.

The Mablethorpe Marathon is a complete event incorporating a 26.2 mile full marathon and a 13.1 mile half marathon.  Backed by local authorities, residents and businesses the route covers beautiful countryside and coastline.

The routes are perfect for first timers or those wanting to achieve a personal best and will be policed and marshaled throughout with drinks stations at least every 3 miles.
